The Origin of the Silky Durag started in Harlem, New York. Silk City represents self-care through style, culture, humor and showing up as your authentic self. Function to fashion, Silk City has brought the Durag back outside as an integral accessory to any outfit.

Brief
We sought to develop a visual aesthetic for curated content. Prioritizing Instagram, but content that would be versatile enough a variety of digital and print media formats.
Ideation
Took a deep dive back into the early 2000’s to recreate the Nostalgic essence that drove style in the streets of NYC.
