Product Design
Everlane
When Michael Preysman asked us to sit in on a few meetings, we weren’t certain what to expect. Unfamiliar with the brand and needing to learn as much as I could, considering the cult-like status they'd achieved in such a short time. Their team was green in both sneaker development and eco-friendliness so we had a great time merging the two conversations with design and engineering that fit their brand. We learned a ton about E-commerce, startup strategy & investment and sourcing transparency.
Yeezy
In 2014 we received a call to assist on the post-Nike Yeezy. Creative work had already been completed, but there was some engineering that needed completion before launch. We primed the 750 & 350 v1 for launch while building out the Calabasas studio to craft the evolution of Yeezy footwear. The design of the 350 v2 and engineering of the Waverunner were the beginning of a 4 year ride. The product and the process from ideation on the phone to production with Apache were as simple as they come because the focus was clear.
NinetyNine Products
We designed a carbon fiber running shoe for $120. Then we built a brand strategy around celebrating everyday heroes. NinetyNine Products embraces our pasts while discovering our future with Urban Native Era and the Reinvention Lab. We helped design & develop their product and tell their stories. Content Creation
NFBLME
The National Fellowship for Black and Latino Male Educators entrusted us to tell their story as they build toward changing the world to be a more equitable place, beginning with leadership in education. With aligned visions on equity and representation, this partnership embodies why we do what we do. From concepts to documentary and final deliverables, we partner on their creative storytelling needs from beginning to end as a turnkey solution.
Ace of Air
Our first steps into sustainability came with content creation for the beauty & wellness brand Ace of Air. We worked with their product team to build a cohesive strategy around the awareness & education of how their product & delivery process resolved circularity. Through creative collaborations & contests we invited consumers to play an active part in adding joy to the tech and science.
ON Running
The North American team from On Running asked us to capture their unique methods of presenting product to retailers. Trail and outdoor running is growing and they wanted to get outside and show that their brand performed. Next time we hope the On team hosts the meeting in a rainstorm so the content is more dramatic.
Creative Direction
WoodStack
Woodstack is located in Brownsville. Bushwick. Flatbush. And Newark. Nike wanted to tell a story about community so we got straight down to business and invited entrepreneurs to tell their stories with us. Adidas wanted to see all of the neighborhood succeed so we created Everybody Eats. Paper Planes wanted Carribean vibes so we enjoyed the West Indies together. Puma brought June to Ivy and we grew together. Hot 97 put us on Summer Jam. Whenever we get the opportunity to run activations and build creative that amplify voices that are rarely heard, we jump in with both feet.
1UP Candy
1UP is Faze Rug’s experience-focused candy company. We worked with the 1UP team from the beginning, establishing the creative direction, branding, and launch strategy for 1UP and their debut project: The Sour Gummy Challenge. Each touchpoint, from the initial pitch deck, to the product packaging, to the website and social channels, was built to convey the exciting and flavorful adventure that 1UP brings to the table.
FC Harlem x EA Sports Fifa
Leaders In Our Neighborhood is the acronym behind the football club based on 145th Street. We worked with this nonprofit to build their image beyond youth programming. The club was already supported by Chelsea and Nike, they just needed to live up to the hype. We designed their interior with Knoll. We built merchandise and content for their debut in EA's FIFA. Big things are coming from a small club that doesn't fit the pay-for-play system of American soccer. We’re happy to be a part of their journey.
