Hella Reasons to Smile

At the beginning of the pandemic Royce Paris found himself searching for happiness behind the masks of New Yorkers. That pursuit pushed him to search for his own understanding of what brings people joy. What he found was an unlimited source of enjoyment from friends and strangers.

Brief

After a launch party for his photographic exhibition on finding joy during the pandemic, Royce wanted to continue to build on his search for joy in others. Capturing more people in more places needed a home that could tell more in-depth stories.

Exploration

Whether Royce is at a basketball campaign, waiting on meeting in Times Square or at the bodega on the corner, he’s going to ask what brings folks joy.

Royce worked with Jream Henderson to create a branding strategy with global content creation from Shaughna-Kay Todd.
