Nike’s Tinker Hatfield reintroduced athletic performance to the Converse Brand and tapped us to take his concepts through to commercialization.

Brief
The leadership team within Nike Design and Converse needed to carry three sketches from Tinker to the factory level and beyond.
Ideation
Few Nike projects are straightforward so trips to Boston, Portland, Ho Chi Minh City and Taipei were needed to bring brand, business, engineering and design to one table. We sorted through lasts, cushioning technology, sustainable materials, branding hierarchy and costing in order to expedite product to market to lead Converse into their focus on sport.
Execution
Within 9 months two shoes at entry price points, Running and Basketball, launched on the Nike app and at retail.
